I think some of my favorite memories of us began with the simplest question: u201cCoffee?u201d There was never much planning involved.
One of us would suggest meeting along Orchard Road, and before long, we would be walking side by side, deciding which cafu00e9 to try.
I loved those dates because they never felt like something we had to make perfect.
I remember one afternoon when we found a small table by the window. We ordered our drinks and started talking about everything and nothing.
You told me a story that made me laugh so hard that people at the next table looked over. I tried to act embarrassed, but secretly, I loved it. Those are the moments I keep in my mindu2014the ones where we forget about everything else because we are too busy enjoying each other.
Other dates were quieter. Sometimes we barely talked while drinking our coffee, each of us lost in our own thoughts. And strangely, I loved those moments too.
Being comfortable enough to sit beside someone without needing to fill every silence feels like its own kind of intimacy.
Our little coffee dates may not look extraordinary from the outside. To someone else, it is simply two people having coffee in Orchard. But to me, those afternoons are pieces of our story.
Every cafu00e9, every shared dessert, every walk afterward has quietly become part of the relationship I am building with youu2014and I wouldn’t trade those ordinary moments for anything grander.
