There is something about walking along Orchard Road with you that makes me forget to check the time. We might have started the afternoon simply looking for coffee, but somehow, one café turns into another hour together.
I remember sitting across from you, watching you take the first sip while telling me about your day. I barely noticed what I ordered. I was very happy just being there.
Our dates have never needed to be elaborate. Sometimes we walk through the malls, talk about things that happened during the week, and eventually find a café where we can sit down.
I love those moments when the conversation moves from silly stories to things we rarely tell anyone else. Somehow, coffee makes everything feel slower, as if Orchard Road becomes quieter even when the city around us is still moving.
There have been afternoons when we said we would only stay for a little while, yet neither of us wanted to leave. The cups become empty, the table gets cleared, and we still find another story to tell.
Those are the moments I treasure mostu2014not the expensive dates or carefully planned evenings, but the ordinary afternoons when I get to have a little more time with you.
Maybe that is why I never want to rush our coffee dates along Orchard Road. I know these simple moments will eventually become memories.
And when I look back, I think I will remember the sound of your laugh, the way you looked across the table, and how happy I felt knowing that, for those few hours, I was exactly where I wanted to be.
